Biography

Reese Nemeth joined Whelton Hiutin LLP as an articling student in 2025. He brings a strong interest in commercial and civil litigation, cultivated through a combination of academics and hands-on advocacy experience during law school.

Reese earned his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2025. While at Osgoode, he was actively involved in litigation focused initiatives and advocacy organizations, including the Osgoode Society for Civil Litigation and the Runnymede Society. In 2024, he competed in the Winkler Class Actions Moot, where his team was recognized with the First Place Plaintiff Factum Award for excellence in written advocacy. In his final year, Reese was awarded the Marvin Cheung Award, presented annually to the student with the highest academic standing in commercial law.

Prior to entering the legal field, Reese served as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Ontario government. In that role, he advised provincial cabinet ministers on key policy matters concerning Ontario’s post-secondary education sector, gaining valuable experience in legislative processes and public administration.

Reese holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Governance from Toronto Metropolitan University, graduating with distinction in 2021.

Outside of the law, Reese is an avid golfer and enjoys playing guitar in his spare time.
